...is like a day without sunshine. Doesn't happen.

As you know, due to all this {government program} garbage, my stress levels are a little high. This new '{Company} Conference Center' plan, which is requiring us all to dress up for a luncheon we're not even invited to has just rubbed me wrong way. I'd really just like to stay home tomorrow if that's okay.

No, things aren't resolved here yet, and most likely they won't be by the end of the day tomorrow either.

Let me know what you think.

If you want to stay home stay home...that's up to you...Personally, I think that dressing up is not that big a deal, particularly because we have two days a week as casual days plus casual summer and I think overall we are treated wonderfully...so, in my opinion, it's not a big deal that they asked us to throw on a tie because of an event that they consider important....that's my opinion since you asked!!! Incidentally, the luncheon is a fundraiser - so I believe all of the attendees will be making campaign donations...You may want to consider yourself lucky that you weren't invited!!

God...you made it all the way until 2:07 PM...I thought you were going for a record!!!

It's not that it's all THAT big a deal, honestly, but it seems that this place is becoming a convention center and it just throws a wrench into the daily routine. This is the second time in 30 days that they've shut down the kitchen/lunchroom for some sort of event. We're kicked out of the lunch area, can't use the vending machines, can't use the microwave and are required to dress up for someone who I could personally care less about.

Yep, it's the {CEO}'s company, and their building, but there wasn't really even a 'Hey, sorry about the inconvenience'. It's just expected that we'll comply and be happy about it.

Again, if I wasn't so annoyed at all the other stuff going on right now, it probably wouldn't be that big a deal, but with everything else, it makes me feel like I'm just here to make sure the money comes in, and if I'm uncomfortable or inconvenienced in any way it doesn't really matter to anyone as long as the money is there. I'm no longer a person, just another machine doing a job.

Well, didn't get a reply to THAT...
