I wouldn't say that I'm a rabid Bush supporter. And until now, I thought a lot of people's 'problems' had to do with the fact that the whole election process was fucked up and they were just using anything as ammunition against the President. Being neither a Democrat nor a Republican, I opt not to base my political likes and dislikes on a person's party, but rather in what they do. I'm sure, however, that a lot of people's problem is STILL just that George is a Republican (especially here in MA), but after this fiasco, I'm looking at everything in a slightly different light.
Granted, turning your back on an invited speaker (no, you didn't invite him but your class representatives did) during a graduation speech is immensely rude, and removal is understandable, but refusing to give people diplomas because of it is asinine and really DOES just step all over the first amendment.
