The show was... entertaining. As (I think) agoodshinkickin said, the bit players embodied their parts quite well. But the leads seemed to be overbearing and/or plastic. They couched the whole thing in the Blitz of London. The chorus was a woman telling a story to a child in what appeared to be a bombed out subway tunnel. I thought that was a really cool concept. The child and the woman were constantly on stage somewhere watching the action. However, the woman PLAYING the chorus took herself about 8 million times too seriously. She spoke, not in the voice of someone telling a child a story, but in a voice that would make a child look at you and go, "What the fuck, lady, leave me alone."
The costumes, sets, and lighting were all really cool, and fit well with the style they had set for the story. Some neat back lighting effects happened, causing some really cool scene transitions. But overall, it was... "Enh."
Glad I went, though. Good company, and much fun was had in a camaraderie sense. Must be the 'shared pain' thing.
Would that I were a glove upon that hand that I might touch that cheek.
