Hippos ATTACK!!

So my sister called to tell me how thrilled she was about the gift I sent Hunter for his 4th birthday. It was a blast from OUR past. The Hungry Hungry Hippos game. We both have fond memories of it, and of Luther, our big orange cat whose real name was Hungry Hungry Hippo. We just called him Luther for short.

Then she went on to explain how great it was that the game makes these WHAM WHAM WHAM noises all night, and how great it was that the boys use the marbles in it for weapons.

Ahhh, the perspective having children gives you. It's still just an awesome game to me.

WORLD DOMINATION (slowly)

The Principality of Improvonia
"Why is today special?"

UN Category: Democratic Socialists
Civil Rights: Average Economy: Fair Political Freedoms: Good

Location: the South Pacific
The Principality of Improvonia is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed population of 5 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Religion & Spirituality. The average income tax rate is 34%, but much higher for the wealthy. A very small private sector is dominated by the Woodchip Exports industry.

Crime is moderate. Improvonia's national animal is the colin mocherie, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the yesand.

The sweet satisfaction...

GREAT show tonight.

To damn much fun. We only had 35 minutes, cause we were sharing the time with Project-D, but it was a damn fun 35 minutes.

It ended with a game that both groups participated in, which was awesome, cause one of my first level 1 students is in Project-D. And one of his classmates was in the audience... so all is very well.

Best of all? MY line closed the show. Not that big a deal to some, but when your lighting person says "That's a closer" ya gotta feel good.
