Borrowed from sub_conscious

(UPDATE 10/31/2003: I've taken the images off line to conserve webspace, if you want to see them, let me know)

"This is how the survey works. Choices are labeled A thru Z. A thru M will be direct questions. The last thirteen (N-Z) will be indirect -- they mostly get your mind moving in a certain direction and you will have to take it the rest of the way visually. Please do at the very least five from each section (or do them all -- whatever you like). LJ Cuts may be necessary, especially if you do the whole survey. Deadline is Tuesday evening the 16th. I think this will be fantastic. I encourage everyone to participate. Borrow a digicam if you must. You even have time to take regular photos, develop them and scan them in. Villagephotos.com, Fotki.com and Ofoto.com are great picture hosting sites.

Feel free to post this in your own journal!"

Microsoft urges users of Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003 to read Security Bulletin MS03-039 and install this critical security patch immediately. The patch addresses a flaw in Authenticode verification that could allow an unauthorized ActiveX control to be installed and executed.

So go do a Windows Update right now!

Mmmmmmmmmmm, tastes like Improv...

I almost didn't go tonight. Go where? Go to meet some local Improv folks. But then, I read my horoscope, which I put too much stock in:

You have done without it long enough, Pisces. This state of deprivation can't go on. Up till now there's been a certain value in you not having the stuff you've been aching for, but as of now its continued absence would begin to have a soul-shriveling effect. Therefore, on behalf of cosmic forces, I hereby authorize you to take all necessary steps, as long as they're ethical, to get the goodies. You may even resort to the desperate pleading that kids use on their parents to get a beloved treat at the grocery store, including: "I promise to be good," "I'll never ask for anything again," and "I NEED IT!!!!"

So I said to myself, "Self, just go. No matter what happens, it'll be fun."

And as I spake, so did I do, and lo there was much fun to be had.

So I guess I'm playing with a new group now, sorta. :) They've already asked me if I want to be in the show they have on the 30th.

They're fun people (as all improvisers are). The group is relatively new, and the cast is relatively young Improv wise (in terms of experience), but they're all really eager and are doing this because they can. Not to toot my own horn, but I really think I could help them out. It'll be kinda cool to get to flex my fledgling director muscle a little. Now, don't get me wrong, they didn't ask me to 'direct' them, but they said whatever help I wanted to give they'd be willing to take. So I may sit back for a while as more of a constructive commenter instead of performing right away, to give them the feedback they want.

Anyway, I'm jumping way ahead. This is only the first rehearsal I was at. But I'll make the offer to assist however I can, and we'll go from there.

This could be fun. :)
