Okay, kinda glad I won't be in Boston...

Interstate 93 South will be shut down in the evening from Route 128 (I-95) in Woburn to Boston between July 26th-29th. There are estimates that the police will start the closure process nightly anytime between 4:00-6:00 p.m. Estimates are that I-93 will reopen sometime after midnight. There will be a restricted vehicle lane on I-93 South from July 25th-July 30th and only emergency vehicles and other designated vehicles (such as MBTA buses) will be allowed to use this lane during this time. Truck traffic on this route will be subject to searches, or possibly banned entirely, during times when the road is open to other traffic.

Interstate 93 North will be shut down in the evenings from Route 128 (I-95) in Braintree to Boston between July 26th-29th. There are estimates that the police will start the closure process nightly anytime between 4:00-6:00 p.m. Estimates are that I-93 will reopen sometime after midnight. There will be a restricted vehicle lane on I-93 North from July 25th-July 30th and only emergency vehicles and other designated vehicles will be allowed to use this lane during this time. Truck traffic on this route will be subject to searches, or possibly banned entirely, during times when the road is open to other traffic.

HOLY FUCK!!  That is completely insane.  It's like chopping off one of the cities legs for jebussakes!  For those of you who don't know, shutting down 93 like that would be like shutting down 280 from Daly City to the far side of the Bay Bridge so that traffic can only LEAVE the city.
