{Retroactive Update} PUPPETZ!!!

So as you know, Saturday I got a great present for melibabe's birthday.  The Puppet Show.  I was one of five guest performers to be added to the cast of Un-Scripted Theater Company's The Great Puppet Musical, which will be going up in San Francisco at the SF Playhouse Second Stage every weekend in May.

Wednesday was our first rehearsal.  Wednesday was also my boss' birthday, so I was scheduled to manage that day so he could do birthday things.  LUCKILY I was able to bribe someone to cover the second half of the shift for me (it only took cash) so that I could make the jaunt up to the city for rehearsage.

Three hours of singing and improvising with some very talented people will knock alot of rust off your chops REALLY freaking fast.  We dove right in and were improvising three and four part madrigals by the end of the first rehearsal.  Oh, and did I mention that our vocal warmups consist of parts of the Catholic Mass... in Latin?  Oh yeah, it rocks.  I don't know who wrote the one we're doing, but when we sing it (it's in a round)... ho-ly-crap.

Anyhoo, if you want to keep up with the director's blog, I LJ feeded it: puppetz2themoon
