And yes, I meant to capitalize that, which is something I usually don't do.
I've ridden on the back of an elephant.
I've been within 25 feet of a wild tiger... and rhinos, and wild boar. I've seen peacocks and wild deer and funky brown ducks and beautiful bright green parrots and bright blue kingfishers and peacocks. I've touched trees being strangled by giant vines. I've taken off in a prop plane from a grass landing strip. I've been in a hand hewen boat being poled down a river with crocodiles on both banks.
And I got to wade out into the river to help give my elephant a bath. :)
Chitwan was abso-fucking-lutely amazing. It's hard to describe it because the terrain on the Terai changes so quickle... steppes to forest to jungle to riverbank... all within a few miles.
And I won't even go into watching the sun rise reflected off the Himalayas. You've got to see the pictures to understand, and even then it will only be a pale shadow of the real thing. But as my horoscope predicted, I *HAVE* looked into the face of God. It gives me chills just thinking about it.
I have looked into the face of God and found Machupuchare staring back at me.
