Today was sort of like that.
A little before five, I got a call from a college friend who was looking for another college friend whose phone had been disconnected. Both these friends live in the same town and hang out all the time.
So I picked up my cell, called my other friend, who answered, then gave their cell number to the first friend and they hung up.
My conversation with friend two continued from the office out to the car where I found out that they are now engaged, and had bought a house in a completely different city.
So after THAT phone conversation I called college friend three, who didn't answer their cell phone, so I left a message.
And called college friend four, who didn't answer their cell phone, so I left a message.
And called college friend five, who was in a furniture store shopping for furniture with their fiancée for their new house. While I was on the phone with him, friend three called back and left a message.
So I called friend three back, who had a nice married couples weekend at the beach and whose child is now walking. While I was on the phone with him, friend four called back and left a message.
So I called friend four back, but she didn't answer, so I left ANOTHER message and went to get some food.
Friend four called back while I ate my fries.
She is doing well, too. NOT married. NOT buying a house. And very happy with her new Miata (yes, my fault).
So I spoke with a plethora of my college friends today, and caught up on all their lives...
THEN I went to do the show. Yeah, the exhausting show. Which went relatively well, I think.
I so want to go to sleep right now... and nope, nothing is stopping me except the need to document today.
So now, I bid you bon nuit.
Don't let the bed bugs bite
