I don't know if I hoped/expected/wanted it to be different now that I don't live here anymore, but it wasn't... and yet it was.
Wandering around Harvard used to be no big deal. I lived here, and this was one of the perks. I know the Square well, and enjoyed just wandering there when I could.
Today, it SHOULD have been a big deal, because I'm 'back'... but it wasn't. And yet, it wasn't quite the same. I can't quite put my finger on it, but... it was almost like being in a dream. It was real, and yet it wasn't. It wasn't larger than life, like cities I have been tourists in, and it wasn't 'Smaller' like every other city I've lived in and then moved away from. It was just... well, Cambridge.
Of course it's only been 2.5 months, so there's no reason for it to have changed. :)
On a lighter note, while cousin

German people came down the stairs, non stop for a good five minutes. It was like someone parked a clown BMW at the entrance to JHBh and just started dumping Germans out of it one after the other.
Okay, so they were Swiss and not Germans, but it sounded funnier as Germans... and we THOUGHT they were Germans when they first came in.
Oh, to be able to write FUNNY stuff again.
