Lucky you, eh?
The reason for my absence was the arrival of piter_kenobi on Wednesday. His lovely wife gwyndyn was supposed to accompany him, but the 8 hour car ride left her no choice but to bail, which I can understand. I fully plan on making her fly here at some point though.
One of my favorite things about Boston is showing it off to my friends. Watching their faces as they realize just what a historical spot this intersection or that hilltop is. piter_kenobi and I wandered the city for the better part of Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Stops were made at the Museum of Science and the New England Aquarium. The travel was good.
I had a show on Friday with 3rd Grade Trick my grad class from the Asylum who performs regularly at Dick's Comedy Vault at Remmingtons. It was a fun show, except for the fact that on the way there, some jackass pulled out in front of me, causing me to ram the power Geo into the side of his car. Luckily for him, Dodge Neon's are made of plastic and it bounced back with merely a white streak on it. Unfortunately for the power Geo, her passenger side fender is now wrinkled, and that door only opens half way. That leaves me half the passenger door and the hatch to get into the car with. :) Thank goodness our Bonuses are supposed to be in our next paycheck. C'mon down payment! No whammies! No whammies!
Saturday morning saw a kickass breakfast cooked by fionasidhe. She was down visiting mr_sarcasm and they crashed in the guest room. She's WAY too cool for him. But good for him! :)
uncletang and mobilejessie and dch4 were here too, and guest appearances were made by khourytamarisk and her slam piece--- err significant other.
It was a wonderful 4 day weekend, and I just have to reiterate what a cool bastard piter_kenobi is. He takes the meaning of friendship and piles several new layers onto it.
OH! And I also used my spice grinder for the first time, a gift from sisterthemoon who is the goddess of kickass gifts. :)
Anyway, now it's time to pack as I'm flying to Dallas at 3. Ug.
Cause you gotta have friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiends...
