The World Is A Much Bigger Place Than I Suspected...

According to :

World (wûrld)
The earth.
The universe.
The earth with its inhabitants.
The inhabitants of the earth; the human race.

Humankind considered as social beings; human society: turned her back on the world.

People as a whole; the public: The event amazed the world.
often World A specified part of the earth: the Western World.

A part of the earth and its inhabitants as known at a given period in history: the ancient world.

A realm or domain: the animal world; the world of imagination.

A sphere of human activity or interest: the world of sports.

A class or group of people with common characteristics or pursuits: the scientific world.

Until today, my LiveJournal 'world' was my friends list, and the friends of list. Why anyone outside of my immediate clique would have an interest in ME seemed beyond me. But apparently there are folks out there who *DO* read, at least occasionally, my ravings.

I got this in an email from B today:

A couple weeks ago some guy (I am not trying to keep him anonymous, I
just can't remember his name) who I think is friends with [someone] was telling me about how he was playing around on and found your journal... The guy didn't know who you were. He just said "Do you know a guy named Clay from the [IA]?" I said yes, and [he] said you seemed really pissed off about IA.

Well B went and looked and found all my insane ravings about things, and he and I had a little email chat about it today (in a good way).

The whole reason I'm bringing this up is because I wanted to set the record straight for anyone who ONLY reads, and doesn't communicate with me outside the LJ community.

I'm not pissed at anyone. I don't hate anyone. I went through (and am still going through) some rough times due to some events there. The tirades I put here are in a public forum, yes, but should be taken with a grain of salt. I write to exorcise my demons, my bad feelings, my problems. What I write *IS* how I'm feeling at that moment, but usually, by the time I'm done writing it, it's over. Unless I write about it again, THEN it's over. Sometimes.

Basically, what it boils down to is that this is a place to blow off steam and find support from a fabulous group of people who choose to call me friend. They're the people who will stand by you no matter what, and will tell you what you WANT to hear, and save what you NEED to hear until you calm down some.

Due to the fact that some of my entries have been misconstrued as... well, as any number of things, I'm going to start locking the more 'drama queenesque' ones to my friends list. Not to keep anyone out, but to keep 'rumors' from starting. Anyone who WANTS to be on my friends list, and isn't, need only ask if they want to stay on the inside of my little psychoses.

I'm also going to go back and lock down the old entries soon, so if you want to copy them to use against me, do it now!! ;)

Anyway, enough of this... be good y'all. And B, if you're out there, thanks for being a real friend. You're the best.
